Global climate change is commonly associated with a build up of “greenhouse gases” - including carbon dioxide, methane, and chlorinated compounds. These gases have the potential to accumulate in the atmosphere and reflect more of the sun’s radiation back to the earth’s surface. Global climate change is one of the most pressing event of current times. The anticipated changes demand investigations into patterns of human adaptation to climatic variability and change. Global climate change is a hot topic these days. As an educator, as a parent, or as a concerned individual, it can be difficult to know where to go for balanced, quality information.
Global climate change is spurring the development of energy from biofuels, wind, solar, solid waste, and other renewable energies to replace some of the carbon-heavy sources, especially oil and coal. Cornell is a leader in biofuels research, currently conducting trials across New York to develop the best and most efficient mix of grasses, and other biomass for energy production in New York and the Northeast region. Global climate change is one of the top concerns among the people of our nation and the people of Helena. As our summers get drier and hotter, it is hard to ignore the effects of greenhouse gas emissions in Montana and beyond. Global climate change is thought to be a product of global warming , an observable atmospheric phenomenon. Since the Industrial Revolution, average global temperature has risen by a full degree Fahrenheit - seemingly very little, but the global distribution of temperature means that this change is greatly amplified at the poles.
Global climate change is happening, and it is adversely affecting human lives now. Economies are already suffering. Global climate change is often commonly referred to as Global Warming, because of the apparent steady increase in global temperature over the past century.
